Reshma Dordi, former Miss India LA, began her career while attending college with the launch of Palken Radio, featuring South Asian music and entertainment. After graduating with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism, she joined CNN’s Showbiz Today, where she learned the ropes of producing and directing a television show. Pearl Entertainment Inc. was established in the same year under her supervision. Thereafter, she worked with giants such as Disney and CBS, and has appeared on many television shows and at numerous high profile events. Her company, Pearl Entertainment Inc., has produced and hosted movie premiers, beauty pageants, and charitable events throughout its history. Reshma was the first NRI to host the prestigious Femina Miss India Beauty Pageant, which was telecast live for the first time in its history to a viewership of over 30 million. This was the historical year Sushmita Sen and Aishwarya Rai were felicitated. In 1998, she launched Showbiz India Television, an entertainment show on Bollywood news and stars. Now over a decade later, Showbiz India Television has become a leader in South Asian Entertainment, airing nationwide and now globally. Since then, the company has produced other television series such Showbiz India Extreme, and other productions. Pearl Entertainment continues to expand its production division with creation and production of high-end commercials for nationwide corporate clients. Reshma continues to expand her business, and is working on additional independent productions under the Pearl Entertainment banner.
